Flynn Downes has highlighted how West Ham United are slowly building momentum as a team again in the fight against relegation.
And the 24-year-old opened up on how West Ham boss David Moyes is sensing that the mood around the London Stadium has been lifting recently.

The Hammers have beaten Everton and drawn with Newcastle and Chelsea an our last three Premier League outings.
We are currently sitting in 16th spot in the table, just two points clear of the relegation zone. However, there have undoubtedly been improvements over the past three weeks or so.
And Downes has just alluded to that…

The Hammers earned a really hard-fought point against Chelsea at the London Stadium, and a return of five points from our last three games is very good indeed.
The challenge now will be to build on those results, with games against Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Aston Villa on the horizon.
Downes spoke to Football.London and suggested how David Moyes is beginning to sense a big shift in the mentality at West Ham:
“I think we’ve got more smiles and it brings more intensity. People are having a good time and want to be here. You sort of chase the buzz of three points again so it builds momentum. I think the win at Everton got our backs up, everybody got a bit of confidence from that. It sort of picks up in training. The gaffer has sensed that as well. Going out on a Saturday, you can sense that we are more together. Hopefully we can just keep that going now.”
It definitely seems like there is a better atmosphere amongst the West Ham players on game-days and during training now.
And that has to be a good thing.
Flynn Downes has made it very clear that he expects he and his West Ham teammates to show a consistent run of form now.
Let’s hope that that the Hammers players pull some results out of the bag in the next few weeks because if they don’t, we could be in real trouble.
