Taty Castellanos opened his account for West Ham against Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup third round on Sunday.
Castellanos joined West Ham just last week and he has already played two games for Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side.
West Ham brought striking duo Taty and Pablo to the London Stadium right at the start of the January transfer window.
As a result, Callum Wilson will now leave West Ham.
How much confidence does the win over QPR give you heading into Spurs? 👀
So the pressure is very much on the Argentine and the Brazilian to start banging in the goals regularly.
If the Hammers are to avoid relegation, they need Taty and Pablo to hit the ground running.
That’s why the former Lazio striker’s goal against QPR was so important.
It would have given him a huge confidence boost but his goal would not have been possible had it not been for some really good work from one of his teammates.
Taty Castellanos says West Ham player has seriously impressed him
Taty is clearly desperate to make a big impact with the Hammers.
He was delighted to bag his first goal in the famous Claret and Blue on Sunday, and he found the time to praise one of his teammates for helping him get off the mark.
When speaking to the club’s official website, Taty lauded Crysencio Summerville.
“We know Cry’s a great player,” Taty said.

“He obviously has a lot of technique. I’m also very happy for him because I know he does a great job. We’re getting to know each other little by little, along with him, [Jarrod] Bowen, Pablo and everyone in attack.
“I think this is the result of our daily work.”
Summerville showed genuine quality and frightening pace after beating his man and floating a cross into the box for Taty to head home.
Now he needs to start producing moments like that in every single game for the Hammers, if they are to avoid relegation this season.

The Argentine would have obviously been delighted to get off the mark with a goal for the Hammers against QPR.

Who was West Ham’s MOTM against QPR and why?! 👀
Taty spoke about his FA Cup goal on Sunday and suggested that he and his teammates are working incredibly hard to put things right.
“I’m very happy,” Taty told West Ham TV.
“We knew it was a very important match for us, for the team’s confidence.
“I think we’ve done a really good job. I’m very happy about my first goal in this shirt; I felt really good and very pleased.
“It really is very important given the situation we’re going through. This is about working day after day, training session after training session. That’s the goal; in the end, we all have to do things right together and keep working on this growth, which will be good for everyone.
“I’m really happy about scoring. This kind of victory is always good for the team and will give us a much-needed boost for the rest of the league season.”
Hammers fans will be hoping that Taty’s goal against QPR, and indeed Summerville’s brilliant assist were the signs of things to come.
