West Ham have delivered an official update on the situation with Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca ahead of the Gent clash.
West Ham are back in Europa Conference League action this week with a trip to Belgian side Gent in the first leg of their quarter-final clash.
After seeing off AEK Larnaca 6-0 on aggregate in the last 16, West Ham are one of the favourites to win the competition having also made the semi-finals of the Europa League last season.
West Ham go into the tie as favourites and off the back of two vital Premier League wins in a week.
The Hammers have the perceived advantage of playing at home in the second leg for this quarter-final.
So it will be interesting to see how David Moyes plays things with his team selection over in Belgium on Thursday night.
West Ham were missing £86m duo Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca for the big game against Fulham at the weekend.
Brazilian star Paqueta picked up an injury in the 5-1 home defeat to Newcastle while Scamacca has been out since the international break with a new knee concern.
In the last update on their Italian striker, Moyes had said West Ham were “hoping” Scamacca’s knee would not require surgery.
Paqueta has been spotted training this week but with a big game against Arsenal on Sunday, it remains to be seen whether he is risked in the first leg.
Now West Ham have delivered an official update on the Paqueta and Scamacca situation ahead of the Gent clash.

In the team news section of West Ham’s official preview for the quarter-final first leg, it has been confirmed the club will be checking on Paqueta before a decision is made while also clarifying Scamacca’s status.
“West Ham were without striker Gianluca Scamacca and midfielder Paqueta for Saturday’s Premier League victory over Fulham due to injuries,” West Ham state on their website.
“And, while Scamacca is likely to remain sidelined for the trip to Belgium, the Hammers will take a check on the Brazilian’s fitness.”
The club site has also dropped a big hint that a player who has just one start to his name will be lining up from the beginning in Belgium.
