Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and admit that you were wrong. Emerson has been really good for West Ham in the last few games.

And his recent form has been a huge positive for the Hammers. David Moyes would have been delighted with the Italian’s performance against Chelsea yesterday, and his last few displays in fact.
The ex-Chelsea left wing-back has been given us a totally different outlet to what we usually have when Aaron Cresswell plays down the left hand flank…
Emerson Palmieri looks like a different player for West Ham
The Italy international has so much more pace than Cresswell, and he offers us much more defensive solidarity and potency going forward as well.
Emerson defended really well against his former club Chelsea at the London Stadium yesterday and kept Noni Madueke relatively quiet all game.
The 28-year-old has shown real athleticism in recent weeks, and looks like a completely different player to the one who struggled during the first few months of his time with West Ham.
It just goes to show what regular game-time can do for a player. Emerson Palmieri is clearly in a rhythm now for West Ham, and the exciting thing is that he can still get a lot better.

Things are looking fairly bleak for West Ham at the moment, although it must be said that there have been slight signs of improvement in recent weeks.
Sometimes it’s easy to get bogged down in the negatives, and I know that I am guilty of that. However, it is important to look for positives throughout tough times.
Emerson Palmieri’s recent form certainly fits into that category. Hopefully the Italian’s resurgence coincides with an upturn in form and results for the Hammers.
One thing’s for sure, we look so much better when Emerson is playing instead of Cresswell. So that has to be a huge positive doesn’t it!
