Worrying noises are coming out of the West Ham United camp regarding the club’s finances heading into the summer transfer window.
Graham Potter has an incredibly difficult task on his hands at the London Stadium, after it came to light that funds are tight at West Ham right now.
Potter replaced Julen Lopetegui at West Ham in January, but progress has been slow to say the least under the 49-year-old’s stewardship.
He has improved the Hammers defensively, but the attacking play on display has been painful to watch.
Potter clearly needs to oversee a huge squad rebuild at West Ham.

The big problem the Hammers face is that David Sullivan has been pleading poverty ahead of the summer transfer window.
So Potter will have to sell before he can buy.
Saudis could save West Ham with Mohammed Kudus bid
Mohammed Kudus has been in woeful form for the Hammers this season.
So much so that it is now highly doubtful that Premier League or European clubs will be prepared to meet his £80-85 million release clause.
Here’s where the good news comes in though.
Kudus’s current West Ham release clause stands at £80 million for European clubs, £85 million for Premier League teams and £120 million for Saudi clubs.
And according to Ben Jacobs, Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr are prepared to bid £85.5 million for Kudus this summer.

If that happens, it would be a real life-saver for the Hammers’ summer.
Kudus money enough for Potter to embark on West Ham rebuild
The Hammers head coach will be targeting young, dynamic players this summer.
Hopefully the days of West Ham signing ageing mercenaries are long gone.
The Hammers need a young and exciting team and that will come about by Potter bringing young players with huge ceilings to the club.
If the Saudis do come in with a massive offer for Mohammed Kudus, it will literally save West Ham’s summer.
And it will prevent Sullivan from being able to use the excuse that the club don’t have sufficient funds to adequately back Potter in the transfer market.
