Well, our 43-year wait for a major trophy is finally over after West Ham won the Europa Conference League out in Prague last night.

A 2-1 win over Fiorentina saw the Hammers lift the Conference League trophy, and everyone involved with the club will be waking up this morning grinning like a Cheshire Cat.

Even those who aren’t of a West Ham persuasion, including the likes of Rio Ferdinand, seem to be delighted for the club.

Ferdinand left the Hammers to join Leeds back in 2000 before going on to play for Manchester United.
The pundit is now a proper Man United fan, so it was nice to hear him praise West Ham last night, and Declan Rice and Mark Noble in particular:
By 58 years, Ferdinand is referring to the last time that West Ham won a European trophy – the European Cup Winners’ Cup back in 1965.
Last night was a momentous occasion for the Hammers. These finals and trophies do not come around too often for us.
I will never forget West Ham winning the Europa Conference League out in Prague and neither will any of our fans.
It’s great to hear people like Rio Ferdinand congratulating us as well.
