Disaster could be on the cards for West Ham, with Tottenham and Arsenal managers Ange Postecoglou and Mikel Arteta lining up moves to sign Lucas Paqueta this summer.

Lucas Paqueta remained at West Ham last summer despite strong links away from the club, but now Tottenham and Arsenal could be set to test the east London outfit’s resolve.

Manchester City were thought to be leading the race for the Brazilian but a move didn’t happen in the end after news emerged that he was under investigation by the FA and FIFA regarding irregular betting patterns.

Now it seems like the vultures are circling for the former Lyon ace once again, and David Moyes faces a proper fight if he’s to keep him at the club.

Claret and Hugh, a website with strong links to David Sullivan, claims that Tottenham and Arsenal are ready to make bids for the Brazilian, if and when he’s cleared of all wrongdoing concerning the allegations of betting breaches levelled against him.

It is claimed that Manchester City, Manchester United and Aston Villa also want to sign the talented 26-year-old this summer…

Tottenham and Arsenal ready to make bids for Lucas Paqueta

Paqueta is on the radar of our London rivals, and it now seems like we have a real battle on our hands to keep hold of him.

One thing I will say is that he won’t be going to Tottenham. Sure, they may meet his £85 million release clause but surely he won’t pick them over the likes of Man City and Arsenal!

If Paqueta is cleared by the FA following their investigation into betting breaches, then it will cleary be very hard to keep him at West Ham.

He has been truly magnificent for us over the past 18 months, and the Hammers fans absolutely adore him.

The 26-year-old is a special, special player, and he’s clearly destined for the very top. I wouldn’t mind him joining Manchester City to go and win things one little bit, as long as we get the full £85 million for him.

However, it really would hurt if Tottenham or Arsenal end up signing Lucas Paqueta in the summer transfer window
