This is the real reason LLDC London Stadium stewards were seen doing something strange at full-time of West Ham win over Man United.
West Ham are now all but officially safe in the Premier League following the 1-0 win over Manchester United.
Said Benrahma scored a fortunate winner on an electric night at the London Stadium. But there was nothing lucky about the result, with West Ham fully deserving of the victory.
The Hammers desperately needed one more point or win to all but seal survival.

The breathing space the Hammers desperately needed
So it now gives David Moyes and his players some much-needed breathing space to fully attack the Europa Conference League semi-final. And hopefully the final too.
As West Ham fans will know only too well after persistent issues in the early days at the London Stadium, the stewarding is controlled by the ground’s owners LLDC.
Many Hammers supporters were bemused with what they saw as the clock ticked down in stoppage time.
But this is the real reason LLDC London Stadium stewards were seen doing something strange at full-time of West Ham win over Man United.
LLDC launch pitch border control
With a couple of minutes remaining as West Ham were holding off late Man United attacks, dozens of stewards started heading to the edge of the pitch.
They formed a security boundary around the playing surface.
And many West Ham fans believed it was because the stewards thought there may be a mass pitch invasion to celebrate unofficial survival.
You can see the stewards lining the edge of the pitch in the video above.
That would have been utterly laughable.
Because while staying up was of paramount importance given the situation Moyes and his players had got themselves in, supporters would not have seen staying up as a major achievement to over celebrate.

Real reason LLDC London Stadium stewards were seen doing something strange before full-time of West Ham win over Man United
Certainly not to the extent of a pitch invasion.
But the actual reason for the added layer of pitchside security at the end of West Ham’s win over Man United was because of Liverpool.
When Jurgen Klopp’s side visited the London Stadium in West Ham’s last home game, some Liverpool supporters absolutely disgraced themselves.
There were four or five separate pitch invasions from Liverpool fans at full-time of that match.
So the LLDC were forced to put measures in place to ensure there was no repeat.
West Ham are back at the London Stadium on Thursday night for the huge semi-final first leg against AZ Alkmaar.
