Coveted manager Vincent Kompany has been ruled out of the running for West Ham job after making his intentions crystal clear.

Speculation has been rife that West Ham will part ways with David Moyes this summer no matter what happens.

A West Ham board confident has claimed Moyes and head of recruitment Rob Newman will not get another penny to spend from the club’s owners.

The Hammers have been linked with a host of managers. The Times claims West Ham are eyeing a more progressive style under a new boss next season.

And one of those heavily linked with the West Ham job is Vincent Kompany.

The Belgian has led Burnley back to the top flight in swashbuckling style. Kompany has caught the eye by revolutionising and quickly implementing a completely different brand of football at Turf Moor.

Supporters say it is like chalk and cheese compared to the brand of football played by former Burnley boss Sean Dyche.

So it is hardly surprising Kompany is being linked with a switch to the London Stadium (Football League World).

Pundit Paul Merson has advised Kompany to leap at the chance to manage West Ham should David Sullivan come calling in the summer.

But coveted manager Kompany has been ruled out of the running for West Ham job after making his intentions crystal clear.

Because Burnley have announced that alleged Hammers Kompany has signed a new FIVE-YEAR deal with the club.

Kompany confirmed his delight in a statement following the announcement.

“Burnley and Turf Moor felt right pretty much from the start,” Kompany said.

“So it also feels right to sign for the next five years. Together with the fans we have made Turf Moor a fortress again and continue to look forward to the future and the job of making Burnley better with every step.”

Clear then that should West Ham part company with Moyes it won’t be Kompany who replaces him.
