The Premier League appear to have mocked Gareth Southgate over West Ham stars Jarrod Bowen and James Ward-Prowse and fans will love it.
West Ham fans were furious – if not overly surprised – when Gareth Southgate snubbed Jarrod Bowen and James Ward-Prowse for his latest England squad.
There was widespread disbelief – not just among Hammers supporters – when Southgate selected the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Jordan Henderson, Eddie Nketiah and Callum Wilson over the duo.

Both Bowen and £30m signing Ward-Prowse have started the season on fire for West Ham.
Bowen scored in a 2-1 win over Luton on Friday night while Ward-Prowse grabbed another assist.
It means Bowen has three goals and an assist while Ward-Prowse has three assists and a goal thus far as the duo helped propel West Ham back o the top of the fledgling table.
And that has not gone unnoticed by the media team for the top flight.

Prem media team make Southgate look foolish
The Prem’s official media account posted a picture of the duo and their statistics overnight.
And they made a point of saying they are ‘two Englishmen on top of the league’.
It’s a very pointed remark about a team featuring NINE different nationalities in its starting XI and comes just a day after the England squad was named.
“This picture contains: four goals, four assists, two Englishmen on top of the Premier League.
“Just how good have these two been so far this season?”
Perhaps Southgate should answer that question?
It comes after Man United super fan and talkSPORT presenter Mark Goldbridge called for Southgate to be sacked if he picked Phillips over Ward-Prowse.
He duly did, much to the dismay of West Ham fans who are also proud when they see their players called up to represent their country.
Every cloud has a silver lining, though.
At least both Bowen and Ward-Prowse will get a rest and won’t be at risk of injury so they can be fit and fresh for West Ham after the international break.
