Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has responded to an Instagram post by West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen today.
Jarrod Bowen and Declan Rice forged a tight bond at West Ham, before the 24-year-old moved to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Since Rice’s Hammers exit, the two have remained closed friends, and are often joined at the hip whilst away on international duty with England.
David Moyes sold Rice for £105 million to Arsenal, and brought in Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Mohammed Kudus for just £15 million more than what he received for Dec.
Any team in the world would love to have Rice in their side, but you have to say that we’ve coped really well since the midfielder’s exit.
And the 24-year-old is seemingly still missing the banter he had with the West Ham lads at the London Stadium…

Declan Rice comments on Jarrod Bowen Instagram post
The two England internationals clearly had some kind of inside joke during their time together at the London Stadium.
Bowen took to his official Instagram account after yesterday’s 3-0 win, and posted a picture of himself celebrating alongside Hammers defender Nayef Aguerd.
Arsenal midfielder Rice responded to the picture Bowen posted on Instagram with the comment, ‘Pancakes?!?’:
I have no idea what ‘Pancakes’ means or what the context behind the joke is, but Declan Rice is undoubtedly missing having a crack with his old mate Jarrod Bowen.
In all seriousness though, Rice seems to be doing very well at Arsenal, and we’ve coped admirably in his absence.
His £105 million transfer from the London Stadium to the Emirates in the summer was a win-win for all parties involved.
