Reported Chelsea U-turn on Romelu Lukaku might just open ‘lethal’ striker door for West Ham United in the summer.
According to a report from Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea boss Graham Potter is actually open to the idea of bringing Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge after his loan spell with Inter Milan.
Ex-Blues boss Thomas Tuchel brought Lukaku to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2021 for around £97 million (The Evening Standard).
The German swiftly moved the 29-year-old on though, after an unsuccessful season with Chelsea.

However, since then Tuchel was sacked and Graham Potter took over from the German.
The Englishman could now try to bring back Lukaku back to west London. And if that happens, it may well be great news for the Hammers…
Chelsea U-turn on Romelu Lukaku may open ‘lethal’ striker door for West Ham
If the Belgium international does indeed return to the Blues, the Hammers may well be able to sign Armando Broja.
The Albanian youngster definitely won’t be guaranteed regular first-team action if Lukaku comes back to Chelsea.
Broja would be an exceptional addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.
He has been described as an ‘exceptional’ striker by The Athletic. Meanwhile, One Football label him as ‘lethal’. And Albania coach Sergio Porrini called him ‘devastating’.
Broja seems to be ideally suited to West Ham and considering the way in which he stretches the opposition with tireless runs into the channels, it’s easy to see why Moyes wants to sign him.
The Chelsea ace is strong, quick and is a really, really good finisher. Broja bagged nine goals and one assist in 36 games for Southampton last term (Transfermarkt).
It is his all around game that has been the most impressive thing about him though. The way in which he holds up the ball with his back to goal and brings others into play has been truly magnificent to watch.
The striker absolutely tore the Hammers apart last season, bagging one goal and one assist in three appearances against us. He gave our defenders nightmares and was a total menace to our back line during all three clashes.

It’s easy to forget at times that the Albania international is just 21-years-old-old! It’s not often that someone of that age bags nine goals in a Premier League season.
He really does seem to be a very special talent and could be available for around £30 million this summer (The Athletic).
With Chelsea having reportedly made a U-turn on Romelu Lukaku, the door could now be wide open for West Ham to sign Broja.
There is no room for both strikers at Stamford Bridge, that’s for sure.
