West Ham have one thing that not many other clubs in the Premier League have.

There is plenty of doom and gloom hanging around the East End of London at the moment with David Moyes still yet to bring a senior signing to the club.

The Scot has made some exciting additions for the youth ranks but the fans want more.

The Hammers faithful are crying out for some new signings to be made.

It has been suggested by numerous fans on social media that our paper thin squad will struggle next season with four competitions to play in.

Everyone seems to be forgetting one very important thing, however.

West Ham players have camaraderie, incredible team spirt and a uniquely close bond

David Moyes has assembled a squad of players at the London Stadium who would quite literally go to war with each other.

There is a close and unique bond between the players that is seldom seen in professional football.

West Ham are currently away on a training camp in St Andrews, Scotland. And the pictures and videos posted below by the club’s official Twitter account prove just how tightly knit we are as a group of players:

You can’t manufacture that kind of atmosphere or bond. It is something that you’ve either got or you haven’t.

It is certainly easier to do with a smaller group of players. That’s why Moyes has always preferred smaller squads. The Scot places great emphasis on his players forming tight bonds with each other.

We are not for one minute suggesting that we don’t need to make any signings. Of course we do.

Now is time to be patient and trust in Moyes, however. Even if we didn’t make one single new signing before the start of next season, I would trust each and every West Ham player to go to battle for the cause week-in week-out.

Hopefully there is some activity on the transfer front soon. Let’s not get too down before the season has even started though!

We can be very proud of this group of lads. They took us to sixth in the Premier League table last season after all!
