West Ham United have confirmed the squad numbers for deadline day arrivals Alex Kral and Nikola Vlasic.

West Ham signed Czech Republic defensive midfielder Kral on loan with an option to buy from Spartak Moscow.

And Croatian attacking midfield star Vlasic arrived from their Russian capital rivals CSKA in a deal which could top £33 million.

Fellow new signing Kurt Zouma had already taken the number four shirt.

And as first reported by Hammers News last Friday, Vlasic was set to take the number 11.

We suggested the Hammers could give Kral a quirky squad number 47 to make AK47.

Now the duo’s squad numbers have been confirmed with Vlasic taking 11 as reported – although we believe he will eventually switch to 10 when Manuel Lanzini departs.

And Kral has taken the number 33.

The numbers were confirmed in a post on West Ham’s Twitter account earlier today.

West Ham boss David Moyes delivered his verdict on the arrivals of Vlasic and Kral last week.

‘Hungry and ambitious, I was really impressed’ – Moyes on Nikola Vlasic

Moyes added: “I have been watching him improve over recent seasons – he has got a good goals and assists record during that time. He is also a Croatia international with experience and still being only 23, I feel there is more to come from him.

“I was really impressed with how determined Nikola was to become a West Ham player. It’s that hunger and ambition that fits with what we are trying to build here at the club.”

‘Good competition and potential’ – Moyes on Alex Kral

“He will provide good competition in the centre of midfield,” the Hammers boss told West Ham’s website.

“He is another young, talented player who we feel has a big potential and will be capable of adapting to the demands of the Premier League.

“We’ve brought him in on loan initially. And, hopefully, over the course of the season he will make a valuable contribution. Particularly with our busier schedule of fixtures. Alex is another established international player with the Czech Republic. And we hope he has similar characteristics and hunger to that of Tomáš and Vladimír.”

In other news, Stars Moyes wanted before deadline could still play for West Ham in Europa League.

And Lingard looking a dead cert for West Ham reunion.
