Mohammed Kudus has opened up on what he told his West Ham teammate Said Benrahma before West Ham beat Backa Topola last night.
West Ham ran out as comfortable 3-1 winners in the end against Backa Topola, and Mohammed Kudus was a standout player for us on the night.
Said Benrahma made a big difference inside the final third for the Hammers as well, and set up Kudus for the equaliser – a goal that might be taken off of him and ruled as an own goal.

Despite the fairly average display on the whole, Kudus and Benrahma were definitely two players who tried to make things happen and change the course of the game when we were 1-0 down.
And the Hammers ace has opened up on a chat that he had with the former Brentford man before kick-off that eventually led to our equaliser against the Serbian side…
Mohammed Kudus lifts lid on what he told Said Benrahma before Backa Topola game
The 23-year-old former Ajax man was a key reason why we got back in the game last night, and so was the 28-year-old winger.
Kudus spoke to reporters after the 3-1 win and lifted the lid on something very interesting that he told his teammate Benrahma before the match kicked off, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“On the first goal, I don’t know if it’s mine but the ball touched me a little bit, then I just turned and the ball was in the goal. I just had to be there at the back post. I spoke with Saïd at the start of the game and I told him any time he cuts in I would be at the back post – and I was there!”
Well that worked out perfectly for him didn’t it!
Credit to Mo for getting in the position to score and Benrahma should be praised as well for making things happen.
The fact that the Ghanaian told Benrahma what he would do in the game and what he expected the Algerian to do, and for that scenario to play out exactly like he said really is incredible.
Kudus was brilliant for West Ham against Backa Topola last night, and I’m expecting him to link up really well with Said Benrahma as time goes on.
