West Ham United winger Maxwel Cornet has endured a torrid time over the past two years since moving to East London.
Maxwel Cornet has played just 37 games for West Ham, and scored only one goal in the process.
And it has been claimed that West Ham are desperately trying to sell Maxwel Cornet before the transfer window slams shut.
Julen Lopetegui is frantically trying to raise some funds and free up some salary space during the final three days of the transfer window.
The West Ham boss wants at least one more top quality signing before the window closes, preferably two.
And selling Cornet would be a sure-fire way to make way for someone like Carlos Soler or Richard Rios.
Maxwel Cornet problem could be solved for West Ham
The Ivorian has been so disappointing for the Hammers over the past two years.
Big things were expected of him when he swapped Turf Moor for the London Stadium in the summer of 2022.

Things just haven’t worked out for him though, and his days with West Ham are seemingly now numbered.
According to a report from The Telegraph, Southampton are weighing up a late move for West Ham winger Maxwel Cornet.
The Saints saving us from our Cornet nightmare really would be terrific news.
Lopetegui moving him on before Friday’s deadline would nearly be good as making a top-class new signing in my book!
West Ham had a shocker signing Maxwel Cornet
Maxwel Cornet joined West Ham from Burnley for £17.5 million, in the summer of 2022.
However, he failed to live up to his potential with the Hammers.
The Ivory Coast international earns £64k-a-week at the London Stadium (Salaray Sport), so moving him on this summer will free up some money from the wage-bill.
He is injury prone, lacks the pace and explosiveness that he built his career on, and doesn’t seem to have the hunger or drive to force his way into Lopetegui’s plans.
West Ham selling Maxwel Cornet this summer would be a huge boost to Lopetegui’s hopes of making one or two more signings before deadline day.
Hopefully Southampton will be able to help us out with that.
