So it seems as though Tammy Abraham could be a West Ham United player before the summer transfer window is out.

Tammy Abraham has been on the West Ham radar now for quite some time, and he could be set to swap the Italian capital for East London.

The Hammers have been heavily linked with a move to sign the former Chelsea man this summer, and a recent report suggested that we’re closing in on a £25 million deal to sign him.

Lopetegui has already strengthened his centre-forward ranks at West Ham with the signing of Niclas Fullkrug.

However, Danny Ings is being heavily linked with a summer exit, and Michail Antonio isn’t the player he once was, so further striker reinforcements may well be required.

And it now seems like Abraham could well be the man for the job at the London Stadium.

Tammy Abraham to West Ham update

So the 26-year-old is seemingly set for a Roma exit this summer, but is a return to London really on the cards for him?

According to AS Roma Live, Abraham’s future is now sealed, and a transfer to West Ham would be ‘quick and painless’ to complete.

That sounds like a hugely positive update to me.

I think Abraham would be a great addition to Lopetegui’s ranks at the London Stadium, but signing him wouldn’t be devoid of risk.

Tammy’s injury record is undoubtedly concerning, and it still remains to be seen whether he has returned to anywhere near his best after suffering an ACL injury in 2023.

The English hitman has missed 301 days of football since that injury, so signing him obviously won’t come without any risk.

However, he does possess real quality, and he could make us a really dangerous attacking outfit.

Abraham is a top striker, and has bagged an impressive 130 goals in in 339 career appearances for club and country.

He proved that he has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League during his time with Chelsea, and bagged 15 goals during the 2019/20 season.

Standing at 6ft 5in tall, the 26-year-old could be a real problem in this West Ham team for our opponents.

TNT Sports describe the towering hitman as ‘incredible’, and they’re not wrong.

It will be up to the West Ham board to weigh up whether or not spending £25 million on Tammy Abraham is a risk worth taking.

According to the claims out in Italy, it would be really easy to bring him into the club.
