Lucas Paqueta has posted a video at Rush Green which disproves West Ham training rumours that have been circulating.

West Ham boss David Moyes can be very much of the old school when it comes using the press.

Especially regarding team selection and injury news.

There looked to be a big a boost for the Hammers when talisman Lucas Paqueta was pictured back at Rush Green this week after a month out with injury.

Paqueta was spotted at the training ground with his teammates in his distinctive silver Ferrari.

Given the original timescale put on his lay-off was four weeks, West Ham fans were excited he might be making a return to the squad for Bournemouth – or at least forthcoming matches.

Moyes played down Paqueta’s return to the training ground, insisting he still does not know when he will be back. Some thought it was mind games.

Especially when the Hammers boss dropped a little nugget to suggest a surprise might be on the cards soon, saying: “He is a boy who can come back just like that and could be back immediately.”

That followed claims from Paqueta, his wife and a prominent West Ham insider that the Brazilian magnifico is nearing full fitness following his return to London and the training ground.

But Paqueta has posted a video at Rush Green which disproves the West Ham training rumours.

But it disproves West Ham training rumours

Because the training ground return, it seems, was just a visit to check in having had fresh scans on the injury.

Paqueta posted pictures and a video at Rush Green with his little son as the tot ran with a ball on the training pitches.

“Blessed day with my most beautiful player in the world,” Paqueta said.

“Daddy loves you so much Pippinho.”

Obviously a player is not going to bring their child to training if they are involved in a full, proper team training session. And no others players seem to be around in the footage.

That would appear to suggest there are no mind games being played by Moyes – who has now also insisted Paqueta is not available for Man United either.

One positive for Hammers fans to cling on to is the fact Paqueta was in his West Ham training kit WITH boots on.

Perhaps he was having some tests with the medical team on the injury as they continue to assess West Ham’s record signing?

On the evidence of recent performances without him – including the dour 1-1 draw with Bournemouth – his return can’t come soon enough.

And the way West Ham’s squad is looking for the second half of the season, little Pippinho might find himself on the bench soon!
