Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has embarrassingly contradicted himself with his West Ham comments as a BBC man caught him off guard.
West Ham suffered another harsh and narrow defeat to Liverpool thanks to yet more VAR controversy.
The Hammers had been extremely harshly done by in their previous two 1-0 defeats to Liverpool.
And it was the same old story as the Reds got all the decisions and a big helping hand from VAR as they beat West Ham 2-1 at the London Stadium.
With the score at 1-1, Jarrod Bowen scored a wonderful goal to give West Ham a 2-1 lead in the second half.
But it was ruled out for offside by VAR. The decision to rule out the goal sucked the life out of West Ham and gave Liverpool a wake-up call.

Moyes unleashes fury after rank decision
Liverpool improved and somewhat inevitably went ahead thanks to rank awful marking on a corner from Michail Antonio and Said Benrahma.
As West Ham looked for a way back into the game, Thiago Alcantara clearly handled the ball not once but twice in the box.
The referee Chris Kavanagh did not give the penalty or even blow up to give VAR a chance to review the incident.
But it was fully expected it would be awarded via VAR as checks were run. It wasn’t. And that sent West Ham manager David Moyes into a rage.
The Scot hunted down the referee at full-time and unleashed a tirade at him on the pitch.

VAR-cical – fans and pundits in agreement over West Ham penalty claim
Fans and pundits across the game were stunned by the failure to award West Ham a penalty.
BT Sport completely bottled the matter by failing to even ask Jurgen Klopp his opinion on the incident.
Thankfully the BBC’s Jonathan Pearce showed more integrity.
And Liverpool boss Klopp embarrassed himself with his West Ham comments as the BBC man catches him off guard.
Video shows Pearce ask Klopp whether he was relieved after the ‘very, very, very big appeal for a penalty’.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp embarrasses himself with West Ham comments as BBC man catches him off guard
The Liverpool boss does his best Arsene Wenger impression by replying that he did not see the incident back before asking Pearce his view.
Klopp clearly expected the interviewer not to give his opinion, but Pearce brilliantly caught the German off guard by saying he thought it was a penalty.
That sparked an embarrassing contradiction from an affronted Klopp who then says Thiago was falling and it was accidental – showing he clearly had seen it back before dismissively saying: “Whatever”.
You can’t kid a kidder Klopp.
