West Ham United head coach Julen Lopetegui has just shared a hugely exciting transfer update.
Julen Lopetegui replaced David Moyes at West Ham earlier this summer, and the Hammers head coach has already made a huge splash in the transfer window, bringing eight new players to the London Stadium.
And whilst his main priority may well now be to shift on some of the fringe players, his business is far from finished.
The West Ham manager admitted that himself recently when he insisted that he wants two top quality options in every single position.
In all fairness, he’s not far off from having exactly that, but the Hammers chief is still short in a couple of areas.
The additions of another central midfielder and a striker before the transfer window closes on Friday wouldn’t go a miss.
In an ideal world, Lopetegui would sign a new left-back and a centre-back as well. In fairness though, much will depend on how many fringe players he manages to move on.
If the Hammers manage to sell, or at least loan out Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, Danny Ings and Maxwel Cornet within the next few days, Lopetegui will have the salary space and the funds required to make some more new signings.
Julen Lopetegui transfer update has West Ham fans in dreamland
The Hammers fans are already buzzing with excitement at the prospect of what the future holds for our great club.
That’s all down to Lopetegui, Tim Steidten and the board’s ruthless and efficient approach to the summer transfer window.

Now, things could be set to get even better for West Ham.
Lopetegui spoke to Sky Sports reporters after our 2-0 win away at Crystal Palace on Saturday, and lifted the lid on some potential more transfer business.
The Spaniard is clearly still very keen to strengthen his squad ahead of the transfer window slamming shut.
He said, “Let’s see what will happen. When the market is open, anything can happen. The club are working about and maybe we can have any update about new players or other players.“
Lopetegui continued, “I’m not going to talk about the market but it’s true, anything can happen. The club are working very hard to be able to improve. After market is closed, only players who have our focus are the ones here.“
The Hammers boss is clearly a hugely ambitious man, and has plans to take our club to the promised land.
He is pushing the West Ham owners to the absolute limit, and that’s healthy as far as I’m concerned.
One thing’s for sure, under the Spaniard, complacency will not be allowed to set in from anyone involved with the club.
Julen Lopetegui has grand plans for West Ham, and he showed his intent once again with his transfer update after the win over Palace.
The sky is the limit for this West Ham team. With every week that passes, we will get stronger as a team, and who knows? There might just be a surprise or two in the transfer window between now and Friday.
