One West Ham United player has really impressed ex-Hammer turned TNT Sports pundit Joe Cole it seems.
Joe Cole has been mightily impressed with one West Ham star, especially since he’s started watching him week in, week out.

Hammers boss David Moyes made four really good signings in the summer, and they have all played their part so far.
One of the new additions was James Ward-Prowse, who arrived from Southampton three months ago in a £30 million deal (Sky Sports).
He has already established himself as a big fan favourite at the London Stadium, and Cole has outlined just how much of a fan he is of the midfielder as well…

Joe Cole blown away by West Ham star
The former Hammer has highlighted how people don’t realise just how good the 29-year-old is.
Cole raved about Ward-Prowse, when speaking to TNT Sports:
“[James] Ward-Prowse has been brilliant. I’ve always known he was a good player but it’s not until you watch him week in, week out, you see exactly what he brings.”
Ward-Prowse has been superb for the Hammers since he swapped St Mary’s for the London Stadium in the summer, with two goals and six assists in 14 games to his name so far this season (Transfermarkt).
I will caveat all of that by saying that Moyes has got to stop playing the 29-year-old in the deep-lying midfield role.
Edson Alvarez is good enough to play the single pivot, and the Scot should return to the 4-1-4-1 system that served us so well in the first four Premier League games of the season.
He’ll then get the best out of Ward-Prowse again, and as Joe Cole said, the West Ham ace really is a very good footballer. So it’s about time the Hammers boss starts setting up the team to the midfielder’s strengths once again.
