West Ham United skipper Jarrod Bowen has made it very clear why Julen Lopetegui was moved on from the club in January.
Julen Lopetegui oversaw a disastrous six-month spell in charge of West Ham at the London Stadium, before being replaced by Graham Potter in January.
And now Jarrod Bowen has opened up on the big improvements that Potter has made during his time with the Hammers.
Things are definitely looking up for the East London outfit now.

He wasn’t at his best under Lopetegui, but Jarrod Bowen has started to fly again for West Ham with Potter at the helm.

Meanwhile, Julen Lopetegui has been shown up in every single department by Potter.
And Bowen has a clear theory why things didn’t work out for Lopetegui at the London Stadium.
Jarrod Bowen one of the few who performed for Julen Lopetegui
Despite the fact that he didn’t score goals and register assists as regularly as he would have liked, Bowen still put in 100% effort during Lopetegui’s reign.
The Spaniard fell out with so many players at the London Stadium, including Mohammed Kudus and Jean-Clair Todibo.
Lopetegui nearly came to blows with both of those players during the half-time intervals of our games against Brentford and Arsenal respectively.
There was quite clearly a huge problem behind the scenes at the London Stadium during Lopetegui’s tenure.
The only surprise in the end was that the Hammers board didn’t sack him sooner.

The former Wolves, Real Madrid and Sevilla manager was a bad fit for West Ham from the start.
Jarrod Bowen knows why West Ham sacked Julen Lopetegui
The Hammers skipper has been speaking to the club’s official website ahead of Saturday’s clash with Everton at Goodison Park.
Bowen explained why Potter coming into the London Stadium to replace Lopetegui has made such a big difference for the fans:
“Seeing the first few games take shape and take place, I was on the sideline watching but I could really see a bit of a difference in the way we were playing.
“I think the fans had a different energy about them as well. I think as a player you always feed off that energy and we managed to pick up some really good results in that time.“
He couldn’t have made that any clearer if he tried could he.
Once apathy sets in amongst football fans, it’s very much game over for whoever is in charge, and that’s what had happened at the London Stadium.
It was clear that the Spaniard never made any kind of concerted attempt to connect with the Hammers supporters.
And as Jarrod Bowen said, the style of football implemented by Julen Lopetegui didn’t help develop a bond with the West Ham fans either.
