West Ham United head coach Graham Potter is on another level to Julen Lopetegui in many aspects in my opinion.
Graham Potter is the man West Ham should have appointed in the summer, but Julen Lopetegui was bizarrely given the nod instead and handed the reins at the London Stadium.
Since Potter was given the West Ham gig, it has become clear just how much of a problem Lopetegui was.
The players clearly love Potter, and many have spoken out in praise of the Hammers head coach, including James Ward-Prowse who absolutely raved about him.
The 49-year-old has already greatly improved the quality of football at West Ham.

Now he needs to oversee a run of consistent results in order to provide some real confirmation that we’re heading in the right direction as a club.
I’m convinced we are on the right path with Potter at the helm. The way he works is quite obviously like night and day from Lopetegui’s methods.
Graham Potter is a class above Julen Lopetegui
The West Ham owners clearly made a huge mistake by appointing Lopetegui in the summer.
Thankfully they owned that error by bringing in Potter to replace him in January, albeit a couple of months too late.
Lopetegui failed to deliver instructions to his players in a clear and concise manner.
It says a lot that numerous West Ham players have come out since Potter’s arrival and praised him for his clear, direct and easy to understand messages.
Lopetegui’s failure to do exactly that translated into incredibly poor performances on the pitch from his Hammers team – ones that lacked any form of cohesion.
With Potter now at the helm, West Ham are in a much better place.

And something he did after our win over Arsenal proves why he’s so popular amongst the players.
What Graham Potter told West Ham players after Arsenal win
The Hammers head coach is clearly a big hit amongst the players at the London Stadium.
And they would have loved him even more after the 1-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday.
Inside the dressing room after the game had finished, Potter told his players that he would be giving them Sunday off, according to The Athletic.
That’s like chalk and cheese from what went on under Lopetegui.
The Spaniard was a harsh taskmaster, and was extremely reluctant to give his players any days off during his ill-fated stint at the London Stadium (The Athletic).
It’s little wonder why the majority of Hammers players didn’t want to play for him. That came across loud and clear with their lethargic and disjointed performances.
Graham Potter has obviously captured the attention of the West Ham players, and their imaginations in fact – something that Julen Lopetegui was incapable of doing.
