Jarrod Bowen has been an underrated star in West Ham’s Premier League resurgence under Nuno Espirito Santo.
While the likes of Axel Disasi and Crysencio Summerville have won plaudits, Bowen’s performances have gone under the radar.
The club captain has made many goal contributions during the Hammers’ recent run and has even equalled Mohamed Salah in a key statistic.
Would you rather sell Bowen or Summerville this summer?
⚒️ Club LEGEND vs future STAR ⭐
Jarrod Bowen levels Mohamed Salah on six Premier League assists
Bowen has been in fine form lately despite scoring fewer goals than in past campaigns at the London Stadium.
The 29-year-old has only netted eight times in the league this season, compared to 13 and 16 in the previous two, respectively.
However, Bowen has turned into more of a creator than a finisher under Nuno, providing five assists in his last eight league games.
This includes his excellent corner delivery to set up Konstantinos Mavropanos in the first half against Manchester City.
If Jarrod Bowen leaves West Ham, who is your DREAM replacement? 🤔
Paris FC's Ilan Kebbal looks very impressive…
By comparison, he had only one assist in the first 22 matches, highlighting the difference in his attacking approach.
Bowen’s assist tally has now reached six for the season, level with Salah, Harry Wilson and Jack Grealish.
He has one more than Hammers teammate El-Hadji Malick Diouf (5), who has been a revelation at left-back.
Especially when Summerville returns from injury, Bowen will hopefully continue to flourish as West Ham’s primary playmaker.
