West Ham United have just been absolutely destroyed by Jamie Carragher.
Jamie Carragher hasn’t pulled any punches with his criticism of West Ham this season, including the time when he piled in on Edson Alvarez for his poor disciplinary record.
However, I always find his takes on West Ham to be bang on the money.
The Hammers have really struggled this season with Julen Lopetegui at the helm.
The Spaniard is said to be standing on very thin ice at the London Stadium right now, with Graham Potter allegedly being lined up to replace him.

One thing’s for sure, Lopetegui definitely hasn’t lived up to expectations since taking over from David Moyes.
And Carragher has made no bones about just how poor the Spaniard and his players have been this season.
Jamie Carragher vents at West Ham and Julen Lopetegui
Lopetegui has seemingly saved his job for the time being with four points from the last two games against Wolves and Bournemouth respectively.
However, it would be no surprise to see him moved on before the end of the month, with matches against Brighton, Southampton and Liverpool to come in the next nine days.
In fairness, Lopetegui surely accepts that the criticism of him and his team this season has been warranted.
Carragher absolutely ripped into Lopetegui and his players, when speaking on Sky Sports.

He said, “I’m not sure it could have gone much worse really. The Monday Night Football games have probably saved Lopetegui in some ways. It’s not just losing games, they lose badly. They’ve had a couple of wins, they’re not quite with the bottom five teams. I’ve been so unimpressed by them when I’ve seen them play, they throw the towel in at times.“
Carragher is spot on here.
I have been incredibly unimpressed with Lopetegui’s methods since he came into the London Stadium.
The standard of football has been incredibly poor, and the results nowhere near good enough.
It must be said that Lopetegui’s numerous fall-outs with certain players is a big red flag as well.
Jamie Carragher hasn’t been impressed one little bit by West Ham or Julen Lopetegui this season, and neither have I.
