A former Premier League manager is being strongly tipped to replace Julen Lopetegui as the new West Ham United boss.
Despite a recent upturn in results, Julen Lopetegui is still under huge pressure in his role as West Ham head coach.

A recent report claimed that the Hammers could sack Lopetegui, with Max Allegri and Maurizio Sarri being eyed as potential replacements for the Spaniard.
Since Lopetegui took over at the London Stadium, we seem to have regressed as a team.
That’s quite the statement, considering just how poor West Ham were during the second half of last season.

Lopetegui spent heavily in the summer transfer window as well, and what he’s served up so far has simply been unacceptable in my opinion.
And it seems like the Hammers owners may well be thinking along the same lines.
One man in particular is being heavily touted for the West Ham hot-seat, should Lopetegui lose his job.
Graham Potter tipped to replace Julen Lopetegui at West Ham
Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter is firmly on the Hammers radar it seems.
The 49-year-old was sacked by Chelsea in April 2023, and has been out of work since.
Now, Jamie Carragher has suggested that Potter is the ideal man to come in and take over at the London Stadium.
When speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher highlighted how the Hammers got it all wrong with the appointment of Lopetegui:
“It feels like a good fit [Potter to West Ham] in terms of where people were saying they wanted to take their game. Because Lopetegui isn’t that manager.
“It felt to me like they want their De Zerbi and Lopetegui isn’t that. I’m not sure it could’ve gone much worse.”
Carragher is actually spot on here, and I believe that Potter is absolutely perfect for us.

The 49-year-old deploys a really entertaining, easy-on-the-eye brand of football.
Potter favours a possession-based system – one that relies on constant movement from all of his players.
The former Chelsea boss has been known to use as many as eight different systems during the course of a game, so he is obviously a very flexible manager.
Graham Potter taking over from Julen Lopetegui at West Ham would take us to another level as far as I’m concered.
All that remains to be seen now is whether or not the Hammers board keep faith in the Spaniard.
