Jamie Carragher summed West Ham United up live on air in 17th minute vs Arsenal but then everything changed.
West Ham fought back from 2-0 down to earn a massive point against league leaders Arsenal yesterday, and Jamie Carragher maybe fell into the same trap that the visitors did.

The Hammers started the game at the London Stadium in woeful fashion, whilst the complete opposite can be said of the Gunners.

Arsenal were incisive in their attacking play, quick with their passing and the West Ham players just didn’t get a kick. Mikel Arteta was in fine spirits, barking out orders from the touchline whilst David Moyes looked forlorn and clueless.
However, things turned around pretty quickly…
Jamie Carragher summed West Ham up live on air v Arsenal but then everything changed
Carragher, like the Hammers fans, feared the worst for us when Arsenal took a 2-0 lead after just 10 minutes.
For next five or six minutes, the Gunners just knocked the ball around with ease and there was a real danger that complacency could set in.
Carragher chimed in on commentary (Sunday April 16th, 2:17pm):
“They can’t get near them they’re stunned West Ham. It just feels like a training game. Players standing around like mannequins.”

Now, maybe that same kind of complacency creeped into the Arsenal players? Maybe they did think it was a training game, and all of a sudden we brought them back down to earth with a bang.
What a performance it was from the boys. They were aggressive, got in the Arsenal players’ faces and pressed with the most aggression, tenacity and intensity that I’ve seen since Moyes took over the club.
The pressing was also calculated and methodical, something that I haven’t witnessed before under Moyes. Things could well be changing for the better.
That result yesterday was absolutely huge for us, and it dented the Gunners’ title hopes at the same time.
Jamie Carragher was bang on the money with his commentary early on during the West Ham vs Arsenal clash, but all of a sudden everything changed.
I can say this now if full faith – yesterday was the day when our season turned the corner and the penny finally dropped for everyone involved with the Hammers.
