Harrison Ashby is likely to leave West Ham United in the January transfer window, with Newcastle keeping a close eye on his situation.
That’s according to high-level club insiders Claret and Hugh who claim that the 21-year-old’s days at the London Stadium could be numbered, with Newcastle a potential destination for the young right-back.
Described as an ‘excellent’ player by Football.London, the 21-year-old was really close to joining Newcastle United on transfer deadline day in the summer, according to The Daily Mail.
Since then, it has emerged that he shares the same agent as Newcastle boss Eddie Howe.

The thought of Ashby leaving West Ham for Newcastle is a really concerning one, that’s for sure.
And now it seems as though a move to St James’ Park is a very real prospect for Ashby in January…
West Ham ace Harrison Ashby could be Newcastle bound
Claret and Hugh reckon that the 21-year-old right-back is likely to leave the London Stadium in January.
I believe that David Moyes should be doing absolutely everything in his power to prevent this from happening.
He will undoubtedly go on to become an elite right-back, if his attitude and application to work is spot on of course.
Vladimir Coufal has regressed badly over the past year or so and if truth be told, he’s just not at the level required for Premier League football.

The same can be said of Ben Johnson – he has been absolutely appalling defensively over the past few games for West Ham.
Thilo Kehrer can play at right-back of course, but the early indications are that he is far too rash and has proven to be somewhat of a liability for West Ham over our past two or three games.
Ashby is better than all of them in my opinion.
So if West Ham lose Harrison Ashby to Newcastle in January, there need to be some serious questions asked of David Moyes.
