West Ham United forward Michail Antonio has made a rather bizarre claim about Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.

Salah, 31, has been heavily linked with a move out to Saudi Arabia recently, with West Ham star Jarrod Bowen being eyed as a potential replacement for the Egyptian by Jurgen Klopp.

However, he remained at Anfield in the end – quite amazing really after the Saudis allegedly offered in excess of £200 million for his signature (Daily Mail).

“He didn’t turn that down, no way. He was locked up and the Reds had put that red arrow across: ‘You are not going anywhere’. He did not stop that at all. To be fair to him, he didn’t kick up a fuss and let them do what they were doing. But I know for a fact that he was ready to go.”

I’m sorry but how on earth would Antonio know this?

Surely he has just made a guess here and rolled with it. Unless he has spoken to Mo Salah personally of course!

I’m not even sure why Michail Antonio is meddling in Liverpool’s affair with comments on Salah – it really is none of his business.

It’s strange to say the least from Micky.
