It seems as though one of West Ham United’s best young players is now close to signing a new contract.
West Ham have a whole host of talented young players currently at the club, and the fans should be hugely excited about what the future holds.
One of the best Hammers youngsters is Divin Mubama. The 19-year-old hitman is a truly elite talent, so it was hugely concerning when he rejected a recent contract offer from the club.
David Moyes has only given Mubama 25 minutes of action this season, so it’s understandable why the young striker may have knocked back the club’s offer.
And whilst talks between Mubama and West Ham are still at a standstill, there is better news to report on another one of our talented teens.
Callum Marshall has been absolutely on fire for the under-21s this season, and has been the standout performer for Steve Potts’ side.
The 18-year-old has was called up to the Northern Ireland national team squad as well recently, and I think it’s clear to see that we have a future superstar on our hands at the London Stadium.
With that in mind, a claim suggesting that he is close to signing a new deal with the Hammers is hugely satisfying…

West Ham youngster close to signing new contract
Claret and Hugh – a website with close links to David Sullivan – claim that Marshall is close to putting pen to paper on a new deal with the Hammers.
The sooner that West Ham manage to get this done and dusted the better – Marshall is one of the very best young forwards around.
He has been in exceptional form for the under-21s this season, with 14 goals in nine games to his name (Transfermarkt).
The 18-year-old can play anywhere along the front-line, has really impressive pace and movement and is a truly brilliant finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity.
Marshall just has something very special about him, and it’s easy to see that when you watch him play at youth level.
In addition to all of his qualities, the Northern Irish youngster has a really mature head on his young shoulders, and is an incredibly hard worker.
With that in mind, the fact that he’s close to signing a new contract with West Ham is great news for everyone involved with the club.
