West Ham United have a real star on our hands in the form of Northern Irish forward Callum Marshall.

18-year-old Callum Marshall signed his first professional contract with West Ham back in November 2022 (WHUFC.com).

Hammers boss David Moyes has an incredibly exciting crop of young players currently coming through the ranks at the London Stadium.

Steve Potts is in charge of the under-21s after Mark Robson left to join Moyes’s coaching staff. The under-21s have taken 10 points from their opening five Premier League 2 games this season, after a 3-3 draw with Southampton last night.

Marshall got in on the act with two goals, including a 94th minute equaliser. And his recent form really has been spectacular to see…

The teenage forward has been on fire in his last six games.

His two goals last night followed braces against Bristol Rovers and Celtic, single strikes against Everton and Sunderland and a hat-trick during our 5-2 win over Leeds.

Marshall is clearly an exceptional talent and the future looks very bright indeed.

He can play anywhere along the front-line, has really impressive pace and movement and is a truly brilliant finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity.

The 18-year-old certainly seems to have something special about him, and it will be interesting to see how many goals he ends up scoring this season for the under-21s. I would also like to see him get some first-team experience either in Europe or the domestic cups.

Callum Marshall definitely has a really bright future ahead of him with West Ham. Let’s just hope that he continues to apply himself properly both on and off the pitch and ends up fulfilling his outstanding potential.
