Despite our struggles in the Premier League this season, the Hammers have been absolutely flying in Europe.

David Moyes really loves 19-year-old West Ham defender
The Hammers manager spoke to reporters after our dominant performance against the Cypriot side last night.
And Moyes responded when asked what he thought of talented Levi Laing after the 19-year-old made his senior debut for the club, as quoted by Football.London:

“He’s done quite well. He’s a really good 1v1 defender. We like him, he’s quick, doesn’t get beaten easily. To get young centre halves a game is very difficult in the Premier League. Very few, but I can think of some. He’s making his way through the 21s and I’ve been trying to get an opportunity to play him and tonight, he got his chance.”
The 19-year-old centre-back, who joined the Hammers from Arsenal in the summer of 2021, is certainly a huge talent.
The problem that Laing will have is that forcing yourself into a Premier League side as a young centre-back is never an easy thing to do.
Perhaps a loan move away from the London Stadium would be really beneficial for the teenager next season.
David Moyes really loves the 19-year-old West Ham defender, that’s clear to see. And it will be interesting to monitor his development over the course of the next year or so.
