West Ham United star Lucas Paqueta has had to deal with all sorts of problems over the past 20 months.
The West Ham fans were stunned when Lucas Paqueta joined the club back in the summer of 2022.
The Brazilian was such a highly-rated player, and it seemed quite unbelievable that he chose to move to the London Stadium.
However, that dream scenario quickly turned into a nightmare back in August 2023, after it emerged that he was being investigated for potential breaches of betting rules.

The 27-year-old was then officially charged by the FA one year later.
It has since come to light that West Ham star Lucas Paqueta could be banned for life if he is found guilty of those charges.

That would obviously be disastrous for Paqueta, and of course the Hammers.
The good news is has been claimed that things are actually looking quite good for Lucas Paqueta, with a favourable outcome now definitely possible.
However, if he is proven to be not-guilty, another twist could be incoming regarding the Brazil international.
West Ham fans should absolutely love new Lucas Paqueta twist
Paqueta’s trial was originally expected to last just three weeks.
However, that time-frame has long since passed, and now it is being suggested that his trial could rumble on into pre-season.
What a disaster this whole situation is for the player himself, and the club of course.
The worst-case scenario will be Paqueta receiving a lifetime ban. However, if he is cleared of the charges levelled against him, the Hammers may well be able to make some cash by selling him.

And now, Claret and Hugh claim that West Ham are open to selling Paqueta for around £25-30 million in the summer.
If the Hammers receive an offer in that region for the former Lyon man, the owners should sell him without hesitation.
Lucas Paqueta Champions League bound
Numerous top tier clubs are allegedly keen to sign the Brazilian.
Juventus are the latest club to eye a move to sign Lucas Paqueta from West Ham.
Manchester City’s interest in him is well known as well.
So if Lucas Paqueta is cleared of the betting charges, West Ham will surely be able to move him on for a decent fee.
As good as the 27-year-old has been for us at times, he’s been equally as poor and frustrating to watch as well.
This summer will be a good time for the player and the club to go their separate ways.
