There’s good news about the West Ham replacement as a key club figure behind the scenes joins Premier League rivals Spurs.
What is it about West Ham’s Premier League rivals luring away key figures?
Now Tottenham Hotspur are at it too.
The Hammers lost captain Declan Rice to Tottenham’s north London rivals Arsenal in the summer.
Cherished technical director Tim Steidten was wanted by Spurs and Chelsea before West Ham appointed him.
Now the German is publicly flirting with the idea of leaving the Hammers to join Liverpool in the summer.

Key club figure joins rivals Spurs
There is no love lost between West Ham and Tottenham fans.
So that has probably made the working life of the man at the centre of this story rather difficult over the years.
Match-going West Ham fans will be aware that Jake Heath was the head of Supporter Services.
But he has now left the Irons for Tottenham.
However there’s good news about a West Ham replacement as the key club figure joins rivals Spurs.
And a reason has been given for Heath’s defection to north London.

Good news about West Ham replacement
Because Heath has left the Hammers to take up a similar tole with the club he actually supports in the shape of Tottenham.
That’s according to West Ham board confidant Sean Whetstone.
The good news is that the replacement being lined up – according to Whetstone – is a West Ham fan who currently works for either Arsenal, Chelsea, Palace, Fulham or Brentford.
“After seven years at West Ham, Jake Heath, Head of Supporter Services and SLO, has left to join the club he actually supports (Spurs) as Head of Supporter Engagement,” Whetstone said alongside pictures of Heath and his LinkedIn profile showing the job switch.
“A West Ham fan who works for another London Premier League club
If you’re going to have a reason for jumping ship from West Ham for Tottenham then that’s certainly among the most acceptable!
One would like to think that will mean the person in question will be in tune with supporters.
