The mystery ‘top class’ managers who’ve made it clear they want the West Ham job if David Moyes leaves have been named.

Speculation once again swirls over David Moyes’ future at West Ham in the midst of a winless 2024.

The Hammers are yet to taste victory in seven games this year.

And performances have left West Ham fans furious.

Worse still for Moyes, they have planted the seed of doubt in the minds of West Ham’s owners too.

Mystery ‘top class’ managers who want West Ham named

West Ham majority owner David Sullivan has put talks over Moyes’ new deal on ice.

Last night talkSPORT claimed Moyes has been given an ultimatum to save his job.

The Telegraph has claimed ‘West Ham’ are aware a number of high-profile managers are interested in the post.

Well now the mystery ‘top class’ managers who’ve made it clear they want the West Ham job are named.

Duo unmasked as willing Moyes successors

Claret and Hugh’s Hugh Southon, who is close to Sullivan, has unmasked the mystery bosses who have thrown their hats in the ring.

And they have been named as PSG flop Christophe Galtier and Paulo Fonseca.

According to Southon, Fonseca is number one on West Ham’s list to replace Moyes.

The Portuguese has been interviewed for the Hammers job previously.

“Sources close to both managers have told Claret and Hugh that both men are desperately keen to join a Premier League club and the Irons board is aware of both,” it is claimed.

Fans will be underwhelmed

Many West Ham fans will undoubtedly be seriously underwhelmed by those names.

And there is an argument to be had that neither are “top class” managers at all.

This all comes after the embarrassing 3-0 and 6-0 humblings to Man United and Arsenal.

But just as worrying has been the team’s displays against lesser opposition since the turn of the year.

West Ham have failed to beat a Brighton side missing their five best players. They could not see off basement boys Sheffield United. A midtable Championship team held the Hammers before knocking them out of the FA Cup. And Bournemouth played West Ham off the park at home in a 1-1 draw.
