Gary Neville has made a really surprising Declan Rice prediction, when asked about the West Ham midfielder being linked with the likes of Arsenal.

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is arguably one of the very best at what he does in world football, so it’s no surprise that Arsenal might want to sign him before the start of next season.

In all fairness, most West Ham fans have made peace with the fact that Rice will be leaving the London Stadium this summer – whether that be to join Arsenal or not remains to be seen.

However, could Dec actually stay in East London? Gary Neville certainly thinks so…

Gary Neville makes surprise Declan Rice prediction

The well-renowned football pundit took part in a Q&A session about all things football on his official Twitter account this morning.

And Neville responded to a fan when asked which club he believes Rice will be playing for come the start of next season:

Rice staying at West Ham really would be a huge surprise for us all.

Dec is under contract at the London Stadium until the summer of 2024 but the Hammers have an option to extend that deal by a further 12 months.

However, the 24-year-old clearly wants to win things, so a move to a club like Arsenal is probably what will happen in the summer transfer window.

However, if there aren’t any clubs willing to match West Ham’s £100 million plus valuation, then could the unexpected happen and the midfielder end up staying in East London?

Gary Neville certainly believes that Declan Rice’s West Ham days are not quite done yet.
