England manager Gareth Southgate is considering making a huge Declan Rice decision over the next few years.
The 24-year-old West Ham United captain has been superb for England over the last few years, and he has now earned 39 caps for the Three Lions.

However, his performances as captain of West Ham have come under scrutiny in recent weeks, after questionable comments to the media.
At the end of the day, Rice is still only 24. He has so much to learn int the game but it’s very hard to criticise him. Quite where we would be without Dec doesn’t bear thinking about.
The Hammers midfielder is hugely important for us, and for England. We all know that David Moyes and Southgate rate him massively, and the latest report proves just how much of a fan of Rice the England boss is..

According to a report from The Athletic, the Three Lions manager has the 24-year-old Hammers ace earmarked as a future England captain.
That tells us all we need to know about how much of a leader Rice is.
If he hadn’t displayed those qualities during England training camps, there is no way that Southgate would even consider making that decision.
There have been times when Rice’s immaturity has got the better of him. His petulant reaction in the tunnel after we were knocked out of the Europa League last season certainly wasn’t his proudest moment.
And as mentioned earlier, the West Ham star has so much to learn when it comes to being a leader of men.
However, I firmly believe that he will wear the captain’s armband for England in a few year’s time.
And Gareth Southgate clearly thinks the same about Declan Rice.
