Freiburg star Matthias Ginter has absolutely raved about one West Ham United player in particular ahead of tonight’s Europa League clash.
West Ham travel out to Germany to take on Freiburg in the last-16 Europa League tie, and Matthias Ginter is extremely wary of one of our players.
The Hammers fans out in Freiburg have been hit by travel chaos in Germany, but there will still be plenty of our supporters inside the ground cheering on the boys.
David Moyes will be well aware that his side are well capable of beating Freiburg – they’ve done it twice already this season after all.
We have the players needed to really hurt the Bundesliga side, including the likes of Lucas Paqueta. And it seems as though Freiburg are well aware of the Brazilian’s qualities…
Freiburg star man praises West Ham player ahead of Europa League clash
Freiburg ace Ginter has been speaking about the Hammers ahead of tonight’s game at The Europa-Park Stadion.
And the 30-year-old highlighted Paqueta as someone who he and his teammates will be paying close attention to, when speaking to Freiburg’s official website:
“He’s got the complete package. He makes things happen with the ball. That’s hard to stop as an individual. That’s why we’ll of course try to deal with him together as a team.”
Ginter is spot on here – Paqueta can be absolutely unstoppable when he’s at his very best, and we’ll need him to be on song out in Germany tonight.
One thing’s for sure, we need him to be on his very best form, if we’re going to get a win against the Bundesliga side.
The Brazilian can win games on his own at times, and I’m expecting a big performance from him tonight.
