Erik ten Hag‘s interesting 4-word response when asked if Marcus Rashford will miss the Manchester United vs West Ham FA Cup clash tonight.

Manchester United welcome West Ham United to Old Trafford this evening with both sides looking to make it through to the quarter-finals of the competition.

West Ham haven’t won a trophy since 1980 – the famous FA Cup win over Arsenal at Wembley. So we are due some success.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have won the world’s oldest domestic cup competition 12 times – the second most out of any club behind only Arsenal (14).

Erik ten Hag could be without up to five players for tonight’s clash with the Hammers. But what about Rashford? Will he be fit for the game against West Ham?

Man United manager Erik ten Hag addressed the media yesterday ahead of tonight’s huge FA Cup clash t Old Trafford.

And the Dutchman responded when asked by reporters whether Rashford needs a rest after he was seen limping off in the final minutes at Wembley on Sunday, as quoted by Manchester United’s official club website:

“No, he is fit.”

That’s very good news for Man United but unfortunately it’s very bad for us!

Rashford has been in absolutely sensational form this season with 25 goals and nine assists in 38 games to his name (Transfermarkt). He has firmly established himself as one of the most frightening forward players on the continent.

Let’s hope that if Marcus Rashford does start the Manchester United vs West Ham clash, the Hammers manage to do what most teams haven’t this season, and keep him quiet.

If we are to make it through to the quarter-finals, we will have to ensure that the 25-year-old’s influence on the game is limited, that’s for sure.
