West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville continues to struggle with injury.
The 2024/25 season has been an incredibly challenging one for Crysencio Summerville, and indeed West Ham in general.
Crysencio Summerville is giving off serious Maxwel Cornet vibes with his persistent injury problems.
The 23-year-old winger first picked up a hamstring problem during our FA Cup defeat away at Aston Villa in January.
At first, he was expected to be out of action for one or two weeks. As time went on though, his injury seemed to get worse, with claims suggesting he may actually be out until next season.

However, Summerville recently suggested he would return to action for West Ham before the end of the season.
So what’s the current state of affairs?
Crysencio Summerville blow kills any hope West Ham fans had left
The former Leeds man has shown the ability he has when playing for West Ham this season.
However, we clearly haven’t seen enough of it.
And there’s every chance that we won’t see Summerville in action for the Hammers now until August.
Claret and Hugh suggest that he won’t be back this season.

Their top source said, “He won’t be ready this season as far as I know. He probably needed an operation at the start like Saka at Arsenal.”
Then a training ground source told C&H, “It’s the same hamstring injury Antonio had about 4 years ago. He was operated on and hasn’t had an issue with it since.”
Crysencio Summerville improved massively after admitting to lack of professionalism
Summerville has improved greatly since moving to England from Holland a few years ago.
He openly admitted about how his lack of professionalism held him back earlier on in his career:
“In the past it was more: there is talent, and I have been given a gift from God,” he said.
“But now it is more that hard work is also important, and what you do to get there. Not only on the field, but also what you do in terms of nutrition, rest and sleep, to be optimal in the matches.”
Now the flying Dutchman needs to use that professionalism to help him return from injury.
West Ham desperately need a fully fit and firing Crysencio Summerville next season.
