David Ornstein has shared a major Declan Rice update as Arsenal land a potentially knockout blow in the race for the West Ham United star.

The Gunners’ first two offers for the 24-year-old Hammers star were batted away. It now seems like Mikel Arteta is making the killer move for his main target.

David Ornstein shares major Declan Rice update as Arsenal land potentially knockout blow
The Athletic’s David Ornstein has claimed that the Gunners have lodged a £105 million bid for Dec – a fee that would be a record transfer for a British player if it materialises.
I believe that’s a good deal for us all in all honesty.
Rice has two years remaining on his current contract at the London Stadium, and if David Sullivan turns the latest offer down, I’m not sure he’d receive much more.
I have a strong feeling that this offer may well be accepted, with the 24-year-old seemingly pushing for a move to Arsenal.

However, should Manchester City come back in for Dec, the landscape might change yet again.
I think I speak for all West Ham fans when I say the sooner this transfer saga ends the better for us. David Moyes needs to start signing players himself, so funds from Dec’s sale will help him kick off his summer business.
Whether Arsenal or Manchester City sign Declan Rice shouldn’t matter one jot to us. All that we should care about is that we get maximum value for the England international.
And judging by David Ornstein’s latest claim, the Hammers are on the cusp of getting exactly that.
