David Moyes’ three-word response when asked if Arsenal will win the league, after West Ham were beaten at the Emirates.

The Hammers took the lead midway through the first-half against Arsenal, but we were comfortably beaten after a poor performance from the players in the second period.

It must be said though, Arsenal were very, very good. Mikel Arteta has built some side at the Emirates, and they will undoubtedly be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

The Gunners are flying high at the moment, seven points clear of second placed Newcastle United. I think they have every chance of winning the Premier League title.

At West Ham, we have very different things on our mind, namely a relegation battle. Moyes has so much work to do if he is to turn things around at the London Stadium.

But what does he think of his former player Arteta and his Arsenal side?

The Scot addressed the media after last night’s defeat to the Gunners.

And Moyes responded when asked whether the north London outfit will win the league this season, as quoted by Football.London:

Do I think they’re going to win it this year? I’m not sure.

I believe that Moyes may well be proved wrong.

Manchester City will undoubtedly push Arsenal all the way this season, but I genuinely believe that the Gunners have been by far and away the best team in the league over the past four months.

A the end of the day, David Moyes’ response when asked if Arsenal will win the league was typically pragmatic, much like his managerial style.
