West Ham boss David Moyes has suggested that he expected Angelo Ogbonna to return to action in better all-round condition this season.
Ogbonna, who earns £68k-a-week according to Salary Sport, spent around eight months on the sidelines with an ACL injury that he suffered when playing against Liverpool in November last year.

The 34-year-old is one of the main leaders at the London Stadium, and we really missed him in the team last season following his ACL injury.
Having him back and part of the match-day squads has been a big boost this season but it seems as though Moyes is expecting more of the ex-Juventus defender…
David Moyes makes Angelo Ogbonna admission
The Scot has highlighted how he envisioned the Italian being in better shape physically before the season commenced than he is now.
Moyes told Football.London how the experienced Italian isn’t quite at the level that he expected of him just yet, fitness wise:
“Obviously, we were hoping that Angelo [Ogbonna] would be really at full fitness right from the start, but not quite. He’s doing great with the way he has come back, but he’s still picking up really with it. We’re certainly getting much closer to having them all fully fit.”
We would love for Ogbonna to come back as strong as he was before he suffered his ACL injury last season.
The reality of the matter is that he’s now 34 though, and injuries like the one he sustained in November are never easy to come back from, especially when you’re on the wrong side of 30.
The West Ham centre-back is still a key player for David Moyes.
Perhaps we need to be patient with Oggy though. That’s certainly what Moyes alluded to in his press conference last night.
