The West Ham United fans will be praying that Lucas Paqueta returns to the team for our clash with Manchester United on Sunday.
Lucas Paqueta has been missing from action since our FA Cup draw with Bristol City in early January, but there has been chatter that he could return for the Manchester United vs West Ham game in the Premier League this weekend.
After last night’s shocking performance against Bournemouth, it’s clear to see that Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs the Brazilian back playing.
The 26-year-old has been exceptional for West Ham this season, and we miss him badly when he doesn’t play.
So could he be back in line to feature for the Hammers at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon? Or will it be another game that we’re forced to make do without him?

Lucas Paqueta update provided ahead of Manchester United vs West Ham
Moyes addressed the media for his pre-match press conference this morning, ahead of our clash with the Red Devils.
And the Scot responded when asked by reporters to provide a fitness update on his players, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“There’s no more update from where we were. We’re still dealing with the players that have been injured, and that’s where we are. [Lucas Paquetá] won’t be back this weekend and Michail Antonio is back running on the grass.”
So there you have it, there will be no Paqueta at Old Trafford, and what a massive blow that is for us.
The South American makes us tick and when he’s not playing, we desperately lack any kind of creativity or ball control in midfield.
I feel like if West Ham were to have any chance of beating Manchester United on their own patch on Sunday, then Lucas Paqueta needed to start.
That won’t be happening now and I must admit, I’m fearing the worst for Moyes and his players. Not because Man United are a team to fear, but more so because I think we will lack the guile and creativity needed to win at Old Trafford without Paqueta.
