West Ham United manager David Moyes is under real pressure in his role right now, after a terrible five-week run of form.
David Moyes has done a great job on the whole since returning to West Ham in December 2019, guiding us to back to back top seven finishes in the Premier League table and our first major trophy since 1980 as well.
However, the football implemented by the Hammers boss leaves a lot to be desired. The thing is, with the players the Scot has at his disposal now, there is absolutely no excuse for Moyes not to set his team up in a more attacking way, with his players on the front foot from kick-off.
His defeatist attitude leading up to away games against the so-called big six is totally unacceptable as well, and it seems to have now seeped into the players too.
To top it all off, Moyes allowed Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals to leave the club on deadline day in January, without bringing in a replacement, nor did he sign a centre-forward that we’re so desperately in need of.
Yet it seems like Moyes has only just realised that we have a problem in the final third – utterly baffling if you ask me!

David Moyes says West Ham have a huge problem right now
The Scot addressed the media after yesterday’s 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford yesterday afternoon.
And Moyes lamented his side’s profligacy in front of goal, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“Right from the start, I was wondering if we were going to get anything on target. Let’s be fair, it’s not just today, it’s been in recent games as well. We’ve not scored as many goals recently. We only got one against Bristol City, two against Sheffield United and one against AFC Bournemouth, but today I felt we made better opportunities. I thought we played better today, and we got some chances, but we just weren’t clinical when we got the moments.”
So let me get this right, Moyes only realised that we were struggling in front of goal last month? I’m sorry but that’s not good enough, and it’s unacceptable from a so-called top manager.
We’re hardly a free-flowing team are we? The Hammers have only scored three goals once since November – our 3-0 win over Wolves in December.
In fact, in the Premier League we’ve only done it four times this season. It’s so obvious for every single person who watches West Ham that we need a top-class striker who suits our system.
It seems to be like West Ham boss David Moyes has only just picked up on that though.
