David Moyes has made a really bizarre Craig Dawson claim during his pre-Nottingham Forest press conference today.
West Ham United play host to Forest at the London Stadium tomorrow in a game that has become our biggest of the season so far.

West Ham are currently sitting inside the relegation zone in the Premier League table, having taken just 20 points from our opening 23 games.
The Hammers have been really, really poor this season. One of our better performers during the first half of the season was Craig Dawson though.
However, the 32-year-old was moved on to Wolves in the January transfer window for around £3.3 million (Express & Star).
Selling him was a crazy decision in my opinion, in spite of his desire to move closer to his family in the north of England.
Even crazier than that though, was Moyes mentioning Dawson during his pre-match press conference today…
David Moyes makes bizarre Craig Dawson reference
The Scot addressed the media this afternoon, ahead of West Ham’s clash with Nottingham Forest tomorrow.
And when discussing the injuries that he has had to deal with this season, he name-checked Dawson, as quoted by Football.London:
“I think Danny Ings is getting fitter now. If you look through our injuries this season, it’s been quite incredible. I don’t want to dwell on it, but we’ve had Nayef Aguerd, Craig Dawson throughout the season.”
Firstly, Dawson hasn’t been a West Ham player for a month now, so why on earth would Moyes name him?
Secondly, Dawson played 13 games for the Hammers this season, whilst he was available and fit for two others but just wasn’t selected to play.
And thirdly, when he was out injured, will still had Kurt Zouma, Thilo Kehrer, Angelo Ogbonna and Nayef Aguerd (for some games) still available. So were we well covered in the centre-back department.
Intense pressure makes people do and say some strange things. And the West Ham boss has come out with some real belters over the past few months.
David Moyes bringing Craig Dawson up in his pre-match conference today just seemed weird to me. It’s almost as if he had forgotten that the 32-year-old left the club in January!
