West Ham United manager David Moyes is pushing the owners to sign one striker in particular in January.
David Moyes is desperate to bring a new striker to West Ham in the January transfer window, with the Scot said to be chasing the likes of Hugo Ekitike this winter.
However, it’s someone else who the Hammers boss really wants, according to the latest round of reports.
The Evening Standard claim that Moyes has personally requested to the West Ham board that Arsenal hitman Eddie Nketiah is signed in January.
Moyes is said to be a big admirer of the 24-year-old England international – someone who we have been heavily linked with signing in the past.
Now it seems as though the 60-year-old is pushing the board really hard to bring the Gunners forward to the London Stadium…

The Scot is clearly keen to bolster his centre-forward options, and Nketiah could well be the man for the job.
The 24-year-old just doesn’t play as regularly as he would like for Arsenal, and I believe a move to West Ham could see him finally fulfil his potential.
Nektiah has six goals and four assists to his name in 25 games for the Gunners so far this season. For more context, he has played only 1,167 minutes – and average of just under 47 minutes per match (Transfermarkt).
He is the perfect centre-forward for the Hammers in my view, and I would love us to sign him in the January window.
Nketiah always makes tireless runs into the channels to stretch the opposition’s back-line and tire out his opponents. He deserves more credit than he gets for the way that he holds up the ball as well.
The 24-year-old is very technically gifted and is a natural finisher. Put it this way, he’d be a major upgrade on Michail Antonio.
Nketiah is said to be valued at around £40 million by Arsenal. And it remains to be seen whether Moyes manages to push the West Ham board hard enough to sign the Gunners striker for that kind of money.
