West Ham could be set to battle it out with Crystal Palace for the signing of Paris Saint-Germain forward Hugo Ekitike in January.

Hugo Ekitike apparently could join West Ham or Crystal Palace on loan from PSG in the January transfer window, after being chased for quite some time now by the East London outfit.

Hammers boss David Moyes needs to sign a top-class striker in order to take his current team to the next level entirely.

Le Parisien claim that Ekitike could be the man for the job at the London Stadium, but we face competition from Crystal Palace for his signature.

The super talented 21-year-old forward would add a whole new facet to our attacking play, what with his blistering pace.

And we really should be going all out to sign him…

West Ham eyeing Hugo Ekitike loan deal

Le Parisien claim that PSG are very keen to move the 21-year-old forward on this winter, and are prepared to let him leave the French capital on loan.

I would love Ekitike at the London Stadium – his electric pace would make us even more dangerous than we already are.

Former Reims manager Oscar Garcia once described the fleet-footed attacker as ‘special’, and he’s not wrong (Chronicle).

The thought of Hugo Ekitike lining up in the middle of Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus with Lucas Paqueta slotted just in behind him should be an extremely exciting one for the West Ham fans.

The move from Reims to PSG was quite clearly the wrong one at the wrong time for the young Frenchman. The pressure to succeed at the Parc des Princes is intense, and considering the fact that they had Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi at the time, he was never going to get a fair crack of the whip.

West Ham signing Hugo Ekitike on loan in the January transfer window would be a good deal for all parties involved as far as I’m concerned.

Whether we are able to beat Crystal Palace to his signature remains to be seen though.
