David Moyes has a massive blind spot at West Ham United and surprisingly, a Southampton video proves it.
The Hammers boss brought seven new players to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window, as well as Alphonse Areola who spent the previous campaign with the club on loan.

Unfortunately for him and West Ham though, the new signings have either failed to impress, have suffered serious injury problems…or both!

There is something else that is causing the Hammers huge problems though, in my opinion. And it’s clearly a huge blind spot for Moyes…
David Moyes has a blind spot at West Ham
There is one huge issue that is really holding the Hammers back – pace.
We have absolutely no speed anywhere across the pitch, aside form Nayef Aguerd, and he’s a centre-back.
Watching us move through the gears slowly when building attacks can be painful at times, and we have absolutely no threat in behind.
Michail Antonio has lost a yard of pace over the past year or so, and he just doesn’t have the acceleration to pull away from defenders anymore.

Neither of our wingers are quick and the same can be said for our wing-backs. So it begs the question – why didn’t Moyes prioritise adding a pacy attacker to his ranks at the London Stadium in the January transfer window?
Southampton went out and did exactly that. They brought Kamaldeen Sulemana to St Mary’s from Rennes for around £24.6 million (Sky Sports).
The 20-year-old is clearly a real talent and he made his debut for Southampton yesterday afternoon during their defeat to Wolves.
Time will tell whether or not he has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League, but one thing’s for sure, he has pace to burn.
Just look at the speed that the young Ghanaian displayed for the Saints at St Mary’s yesterday, and then think to yourself just how much we could do with that in our team, via Owuraku Ampofo:
Having that kind of pace in the team would force the opposition back and enable us to have more freedom in the middle of the park.
And then Moyes would be able to implement the possession based playing style that he has said on numerous occasions he wants.
Bringing a couple of players with rapid pace to the London Stadium in the summer will be a priority for West Ham boss David Moyes, if he is still in charge of course.
Sulemana’s speed in the video above would have got the Southampton fans off their feet, and I feel like that is something that we’re seriously lacking at the London Stadium at the moment.
