David Moyes will surely be desperate to be handed a new contract by the West Ham United owners before the 2023/24 season ends.
West Ham United manager David Moyes will be out of contract at the London Stadium at the end of the season.

Moyes still has the support of large sections of Hammers fans, and that’s fair enough given what he has done at the London Stadium over the past four years. However, he’s reached his ceiling now in my opinion, and his constant negative approach to games as well as press conferences is making supporting the club somewhat boring right now.
Listen, I genuinely can’t knock what Moyes has done for West Ham since December 2019. We are in a much better place now than we were when he took over four years ago, there’s no denying that.
His dour approach to everything he does is wearing me down though. I suspect a lot of fans are thinking the same thing, and maybe some of the players as well.
Moyes’s latest comments suggest that the players are keen for him to stay on though…

David Moyes comments on possible new West Ham contract
The Scot spoke to reporters this weekend about his future at the London Stadium.
And Moyes suggested that it’s important that he’s given a new deal in order for the players to have some stability heading forward, especially the new arrivals, as quoted by The Guardian:
“That is a different story. Knowing what is happening and with people in charge is important. I am happy to do it and I’ve got a great relationship with the club so I don’t see any reason to panic about it. It was put to Moyes that his squad contains lots of experienced players who will know how to remain professional. “We have but we’ve got an awful lot of new players as well. It is another story. We’ve got a lot of new players who are just getting bedded in really. We made a big change when we lost Declan, which was huge. The year before we lost Mark Noble and had to find our way without that. I’m hugely comfortable with it. I’d work with no contract. The contract isn’t important for me, it’s enjoying the job and as long as I’m hopefully getting enough wins to keep the board satisfied then that is what I have to do. Over the three years we’ve done pretty well.”
Is he really that arrogant? Does he really think that all of the players at the London Stadium want him to be given a new deal just to provide them with piece of mind and more stability?
Utterly delusional springs to mind. Listen, I’ll be forever grateful to Moyes for what he’s done for this club, but it’s ok to think that AND be desperate for a managerial change, in order for the club to move forward. The two trains of thought are not mutually exclusive.
The Scot just has this brazen, arrogant attitude at times whereby he seems to think he’s bulletproof. I really hope that’s not the case.
Because without being too overly critical of him, there is absolutely no way the 60-year-old is the man we need to take us to the new level unfortunately.
David Moyes, or any manager for that matter, should always be hungry for a new contract. The fact that he isn’t proves that he’s lost his hunger in my opinion. The attitude that he can kind of cruise along without fear of repercussions is a hugely worrying one, and it could well be our downfall in the end.
